Mothering Canada: Interdisciplinary Voices

ARM-UR extends this call for papers to all who wish to contribute to this exciting and important interdisciplinary (book) anthology. Mothering Canada is seeking creative non-fiction, personal reflections, scholarly writing, and critical essays, as well as poetry and art, on themes associated with motherhood in Canada in all disciplines.
Topics include (but are not limited to):
- Becoming Mother: breastfeeding, midwifery, pregnancy, birthing, post partum
- Being Mother: mothering late in life, single parent, multiple births, childhood illness
- Supporting Mother: public policy, mothers in academia/work/school, institutional support
- Empowering Mother: feminism, stay-at-home mothers, supermoms
Submission Guidelines:
- English or French
- Typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12
- All necessary bibliographical information (formatting consistent with discipline)
- Maximum 20 pages, including references
- Picture format – digital or hard copy (do not send originals)
- Deadline: post-marked or e-mailed by 31 August, 2007
